Remains of a Man
UPCOMING RELEASE September 25th
Henrik Werenskiold, known from Bernard Briis Band, now presents an acoustic album based on unreleased songs originally written for the band’s next release. After 15 years as a defining voice on Oslo’s alternative scene, Henrik strips the music down to its bare essence. These are songs that have been on a long journey, resulting in a strong, authentic album – melancholic, melodic, and timeless. A perfect soundtrack as the darkness sets in.
These songs were originally intended to become a new Bernard Briis album, but instead they were left between the Chesterfield seats of the 49-foot steel yacht from the 1980s that I had chosen to move into—before sailing the impossible 2,000-kilometer route north to Troms for the sake of love. After a few years, the songs, the boat, and myself returned to the capital.
